Defective TWINX1024-3200C2, need RMA.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My RAM was tested and found defective by a computer lab and I would like to send it to Corsair.

RAM type: TWINX1024-3200C2

I bought the RAM in Thailand from Com7 reseller but I live is Israel so I can’t send the RAM through Com7.

Can I submit an RMA request?

Thanks,

I used the default bios settings, my computer is at a computer lab for repairs so I can’t check the current settings.

The computer used to reboot itself frequently and many programs started failing and showing memory access errors.

Finally the computer stopped responding after a crash (didn't boot) and I submitted the computer for testing + repairs at a computer lab.

The RAM was tested at the lab and was found defective, that’s all I know.

I can’t send the RAM to Corsair through the local distributor because it was purchased out of the country.

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
