ndf424
I Bought a set of TWINX1024-3200XLPT about a year ago. It worked fine until about 3 months ago when I began to notice problems: applications randomly crashing, computer auto-rebooting, and getting errors on memory. I reformatted and re-installed my OS. I tried different combinations of memory to slot pairings and no change. After a while longer, the problem got worse. Then one day my computer just decided not to boot up. I pulled one chip out and it still didn't boot - didn't even get to where the BIOS does the memory check and *beep* bit. Switched them and it booted up fine. Haven't had crash issues in a while either. It's definitely this one chip.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 24, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 24, 2005 What do you have the memory voltage set to? Should be set to +.3 Volts with this MB and then please test the suspect module again. If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
