ksleeski
1) I currently have 512mb X 2 1024-3200XLPro on my A8N-SLI Deluxe. I would like to upgrade to 2GB ram(mainly for Battlefield). Should I buy another 512mb X 2 1024-3200XLPro and fill up my four slots, or take my ram out and buy a great low latency 1024mb X 2...and why? 2) Since I'll be buying soon and will ask this question at some point, how should I configure my BIOS settings using the 4 sticks of 512? 2 sticks of 1024? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 22, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 22, 2005 If you use 4 modules you may be limited to DDR333 and more relaxed settings. It would be best to replace what you have now and go with Twinx2048-3200C2 for best performance. Or for better performance Twinx2048-3500LLPro would be a good choice. ksleeski
i am just curious why using 4 sticks limits their speed to DDR333 even if using the exact same sticks? i appreciate the quick response.
Jabberwok
Basically it's a design limitation that comes from the motherboard's chipset... They 'could' tweak a chipset though... Now as to the reason they don't do it, I'm betting it's a monetary reason... Oh well.
ksleeski
sorry, but a tad confused...so which set would be the best (2x1024)ram for a gaming pc; Twinx2048-3200C2 or Twinx2048-3500LLPro? would the Twinx2048-3500LLPro work with the Asus A8N SLI-Deluxe?
