Normunds
K7N8X-XE, Athlon XP 2400+ Radeon 9600 PSU a-tech 400w (?) With my TWINX1024-3200C2PRO PC just fails to start. Yellow leds shine a bit and then goes dark and computer does not move. Blank screen. I could not find K7N8X-XE among mobos on Corsair site, but Asus claim that model XMS3202v3.1 is compatible. Well v3.1 is 256 Mb, while I have model: XMS3202v5.2 - 2x512 Mb. However from what i see on Corsair site it is compatible with other K7N8X motherboards. So it "should" be the right one... Also the same memory sticks run fine on MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum. Sounds like a mobo issue (I have to decrease FSB speed to be able to run it with other quite popular K-memory at PC2100), but I hope there is some way to try to tweak this. What should I look for? Voltage? Latencies? BOIS seems to provide lots of ways to tweak things, but it's not my cup of tea -- I hope someone has an idea how to proceed
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 20, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 20, 2005 Please check your model number as ASUS does not make a channel MB with this part#. And if this came in an OEM system you should be using the memory suggested on our memory configurator.
