jpongin
Help help help, Everything is running good at stock, and now I want to OC up to my rated RAM speed of 433. I eliminated all other bottlenecks by dropping the multipliers down for the CPU and HHT, and also tweaking the voltages. I think I may have my timeings mixed up. Windows refuses to boot at 208FSB !!! Not even close to DDR433 | PC3500. Here's where I hit the wall: ==Board and CPU Settings== FSB: 208 CPU multi: 12 CPU clock: 2496 HTT multi: 4 HTT clock: 832 vCore: 1.40v vDRAM: 2.85v ==DRAM Settings== DRAM Freq: 1:1 CAS Latency (tCL): 2.0 RAS to CAS Delay(tRCD): 3 Min RAS active time(tRAS): 6 Row precharge time(tRP): 2 Row cycle time(tRC): 7 Row refresh cyc time: Auto Row to Row delay: 2 Write recoverty time: 2 Write to Read delay: 3 Read to Write delay: 4 Refresh period: 3120 cycles Write CAS Latency: Auto DRAM Bank Interleave: Enabled DQS Skew Control: Auto DQS Skew Value: 0 DRAM Drive Strength: Auto DRAM Data Drive Strength: Auto Max Async Latency: Auto DRAM Response Time: Fastest Read Preamble Time: Auto IdleCycle Limit: 256 Cycles Dynamic Counter: Disable R/W Queue Bypass: 16 X Bypass Max: 7 X 32 Byte Granularity: Disable (4 Bursts) Any expert help would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced!!!
jpongin
Okay, Here's another update. It seems that even at FSB205 , I'm BSOD'ing when loading BF2. This can't be good. These sticks are guaranteed to run at DDR433 @ 2-3-2-6 right?.. all day stable? UPDATE: Okay, I'm going to really really drop the CPU multi and HTT multi and leave the memory at 1:1 (200mhz) to doubly make sure it's not the CPU and HTT that's causing the problem. Once I determine that, then I'm going to drop the mem ratio to 1:2 (100mhz) and test the CPU again. If it turns out to be the RAM, where do I send the RMA to? UPDATE II: After dropping the memory frequency to 100mhz(1:2), and maintaining full HTT and CPU multipliers, I was able to run the FSB all the way up to 230. It's definitely the memory. Can someone please confirm my results? I think I should RMA these suckers.
