RJLeong65
I have two sticks of Corsair CMX512-3200C2. The is revision 1.2 and the other is 5.1. Can they be used in a dual channel configuration? Thanks! Unfortunately, those two sticks may not work together at all in modern systems. You see, even in a single-channel configuration, modern systems - especially Athlon 64 systems - require that the two memory sticks match each other in every single detial (including revision number). In addition, revision 5.1 always uses different IC chips (ProMOS or Mosel Vitalic) than revision 1.2 (most likely Winbond CH-5 or CH-6).
cygnus x1
Mine works in dual channel but the versions are 4.3 and 5.2.. Are these close enough that it does work?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 15, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 15, 2005 I would not suggest it, but yes they might work together.
