WoodMaple
I get continuous long beeps with short pauses from Soyo SY-P4X400 Dragon Ultra Motherboard. That is why I tried SOYO's way, (To resolve this issue:) without success. 1. The beep is indicating that the motherboad did not detect your memory. Please check and make sure the memory is fully seated into the slot. If you have re-seated the memory a few times and it is still not working, then the memory you have may not be compatible with the board or it has become damaged. Please replace the memory (Refer to the memory configuration table in your manual). My Corsair CMX512-3500C2 memory is listed in the SOYO Website as recomended compatible for the SY-P4X400 motherboard. Please help me get an RMA so I can get memory that works? Jabberwok
Is this a new motherboard & memory? You tried to carefully re-seat the memory right? Things to try : Test your memory one at a time with http://www.memtest86.com/ Try, if you have access to some, other memory dimms to make sure that the motherboard is not at fault. Keep us informed! WoodMaple
About twenty months ago I purchased the new SOYO SY-P4X400 motherboard with the new Corsair CMX513-3500C2 memory but then installed an ASUS P4P800 motherboard instead of the SOYO. That worked fine until the ASUS motherboard got a Geek Squad diagnosis about a bad AGP slot. The bad AGP slot caused the vertical lines on the screen to blot out any images. That is why I have gone back to the SOYO motherboard sealed in the box with the new Corsair memory that has worked before. The problem is the SOYO motherboard rejects the Corsair memory that was listed to work on the SOYO website. The Corsair CMX512-3500C2 memory is also in the approved list of memory for the ASUS P4P800. It thought the memory would work well in both motherboards. It was only a choice of what board I wanted to use since both companies listed that memory as recomended. Yes, I do need different RAM to find out if the SOYO motherboard works. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 15, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 15, 2005 Try the modules one at a time and I would re-set the bios and see if you can get it to post and if you do you will need to set the memory frequency at DDR333 with the memory voltage set to 2.7 Volts and then test them one at a time. WoodMaple
Yes, I did clear the bios with the jumper by the battery after seating one module of RAM into slot one. The book has pictures and the board has numbers that are clear about slot one. I did attempt to post. The beep codes tell me Ram isn't detected. I believe I must use the Warranty for both modules. Do I use the RMA procedure now? Thank you for your help.
