cyfer
i have a abit fatality an8 series mobo with corsair twinx2048-3200 ram. The processor is an amd athlon 64 x2 4400+. The problem is sometimes during operation, especially during windows updates, i receive the blue screen saying Machine_Check_Exception. Twice i have had to reinstall windows because it has corrupted the files, it says it is shutting down windows to prevent damage to the system, does anyone know what might cause this error message to occur? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 14, 2005 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. .
