hobie_od
I am having trouble with my system intermittently shutting down while playing COD2. I also cannot run my memory at the rated timings of 2-3-3-6 1T. I have my BIOS set to everything at default except for the ram votalge at 2.75v. I can get into windows at 2.5-3-3-8 1T, but not anything faster. Also COD2 does not quit with the detected timings of 3-3-3-8 2T. I have run memtest and no errors were shown. Prime95's torture test also was clean. My temps under full load are 50C for the CPU, 40C for the MB and 60C for the 7800GT. I have tried running the case fan at full, which lowers temps, but does not seem to help the shut down problem Do I have a bad memory module or something else? Thanks, Jim
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 14, 2005 If you are not getting errors in memtest or in Prime 95 that would suggest some other problem. The most likely cause would be a power problem.
