Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 12, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 12, 2005 An Opteron CPU would not support these modules. Nor will they support 1t Command Rate. And what CPU did you have before?

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 13, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 13, 2005 That might suggest the CPU will not run at 1t with the currant configuration. Have you tested the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org?

Have you tested the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org? this is impossible because i was using the same modules b4 with 1T timings n no problem in booting at all.....that is why im confused with all the answers that im getting... cos i used to have this set of rams in august...that one i could run perfectly fine on 1T.....but this one is a new set which i recently bought again....but refuses to run at 1T. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 15, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 15, 2005 No problem, but I think you may find it may be the new MB or MB bios causing this from what you have posted.
vickyrao
No problem, but I think you may find it may be the new MB or MB bios causing this from what you have posted. well i even tot about that...that is why i flashed back my k8n neo 2 platinum back to bios v1.8....cos with that version was the time i was using 1T n all perfect timings...n manage to run the rams at ddr550......meaning htt clocking at 275mhz..... that is why as i said i was really confused... so now can i RMA my ram then?? btw i dont have the ram box anymore....but i can repack it in anti static bag n inside a harddisk box with proper packing.....is that ok?
