dozgod
I have a FX-57 and asus a8n sli deluxe and I can't even boot to the bios when I set the CAS latency to 2 so I have to use 2.5-3-3-6-1T. Also what are the metal clip things for, can I remove them or not?
Yellowbeard
The metal clips are to help retain the heatspreaders. I would not suggest removing them. For your memory, can you please list the complete module information: http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34307 Also, can you please list your complete system specifications? And, list all bios settings that relate to RAM, CPU, and voltages. Mike.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 13, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 13, 2005 What Power Supply are you using and what is your room temp? and how many case fans do you have?
dozgod
I have 600w PSU from Seasonic and 2 case fans, one 120mm Nexus in back and one 80mm Nexus in front to cool the drives and my room temp is around 70F. BTW, I didn't build the system I got it from Polywell. I just e-mailed them today about the high temps and haven't heard back from them yet. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 14, 2005 I would try and turn the 120mm Fan so that it blows inside the case and see if that helps. In addition, I would make sure that you have heatsink compound on the CPU and Fan H/S.
