Hi All,

 

I have a matched pair running in Dual Channel Mode - My current settings as per CPU-Z are:

 

Cas# Latency - 3

 

Ras# to Cas# - 3

 

Ras# Precharge - 3

 

Tras# - 8

cycle Time (Tras) 15 clocks

 

Bank cycle time - (Trc) - 12 clocks

 

DRAM idle timer - 16 clocks

 

________________________

 

 

Can you advise if they are set slow and if so how to change them to higher settings - I am running an ASUS A8N SLI Board with an AMD 64 3200 @ 2.2ghz with an ATI X850 PE

 

I am getting hammered from Battlefield 2 and with pwerformance Corsair memory in Dual Channel Mode, I would not expect it to be this way

CAS Latency (tCL): 2

RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3

Row Precharge (tRP): 3

Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6

 

Memory Voltage: 2.75 Volts

All other settings to defaults.

 

It's more how much memory you have that helps in BF2 than anything else (2 sticks are better than 4 though).

thanks Wired - so how do I change it - in the BIOS or is there a tool?

 

also will the pazzive heatsinks be OK - It is sat in an ASUS Vento case

Go into the BIOS to change those settings. Passive heatsinks for the memory? They already have heat spreaders.
