vecna
My set of 'Corsair TWIN2X 8000UL DDR2, 1024MB CL5 Kit w/two matched CM2X512-8000UL' does not work in dual channel on my 'Asus P5WD2 Premium' motherboard with BIOS 0606. Both bios and cpu-z reports it as working in single channel. Anyone got a clue on how to fix it?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 10, 2005 What slots do you have them in and what did you set the memory voltage to? 2.2 Volts is suggested. In additon what do you have the CPU and memory Frequency set to?
vecna
I have actually tested every slot combination on the motherboard and yes I upped the memory voltage to 2.2. Apart from that the bios is default on everything. The processor is a pentium d 830 and fsb is at default 200 mhz and multiplier is also default at x15. Cpu-z reports 334.5 mhz on the memory. Memtest86+ v1.51 reports no errors. *sigh*
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 14, 2005 Dual channel should be automatic as long as you have them in the correct slots and both modules are exactly matched. If they are I would try and RMA/replace the MB.
