Jamie Howdeshel
I have a gig (consisting of 2 sticks of 512M each for dual channel purposes) of platinum series twinX ram that i can't seem to get running at full speed in my computer. every time i try to set it up, it freezes at the first startup screen. in the bios, if i choose auto select for the memory settings, the ram only runs at DDR 266... or so it says on the first startup screen. my motherboard is an Asus A8N-E. my memory is CMX512-3200C2PT how do i get this to work? thanks for any help given. :o:
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 14, 2005 Can you tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set? And the make and model of PSU you have and have you tried to test them one at a time to make sure one is not failing?
