chunchu
Hello, hope you can help: I have: DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Two sets of Part # : TWINX2048-3200PT Type : DDR-400 (PC-3200) Size : 2GB kit (2 x 1GB) Latency : 3-3-3-8 Package : 184-pin DIMM TOTAL MEMORY 4GB. BIOS shows 3.25GB of memory running ddr 333. What setting should I change to have the BIOS show full 4GB at DDR400. currenty, bios latency settings are tCL:3, tRCD:3, tRP:3, tRAS 8, Command reate 2T, What are my best settings for this motherboard and memory combination? On the memory specs, it says that memory was tested at 3.4.4.8, why the actual chips says 3.3.3.8? thanks for the help, oscar
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 10, 2005 With a FX55 CPU DDR333 would be suggested and there should be a setting in the bios called something like 4 gig remapping that you would enable. Check with the MB maker or the user manual if you cant find it.
RJLeong65
On the memory specs, it says that memory was tested at 3.4.4.8, why the actual chips says 3.3.3.8? You got those specs from the Newegg site? Well, 3-3-3-8 is the actual JEDEC reference standard set of timings at DDR400. JEDEC allows 3-4-4-8 if there are minor problems at 3-3-3-8. chunchu
Thanks for the tip, Found 4 gig remapping, my bios now sees the 4GB but is running at DDR 333. Is there any settings that would make my memory run at DDR 400? If there are not, do you suggest 2Gb of memory running at DDR 400 or 3GB running at DDR 333, I do lots of video editing. My motherboard DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR, has so many settings for the memory is not funny. I have changed de Frequency, which was set to auto, to 200 MHZ, the bios will show DDR 400, but in windows my system crashes. Thanks alot for the help, oscar
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 13, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 13, 2005 2 1.0 Gig modules would give the best performance and Windows will not let any application see more than 2.0 gig of memory.
