bubbas
The number of errors found in Memtest have slowly increased in my matched set of VS512MB400, on an Athlon XP 2500+ DDR system, Soltek SL75FRN board, at stock speed. I have reduced the FSB speed down to 333 Mhz, which helped for a while, but I am now again seeing errors in both modules (tested them individually, in various slots). I tried bumping the memory voltage up a couple of tenths, with no improvement. After experiencing system/harddrive corruption a couple of times, I have removed these sticks, and put an old 512MB PC2700 stick in, at which point my system crashes and corruption problems have ceased... Suggestions? Neil S.
bubbas
Forgot to say, memory timings were set to 'Optimal', CAS was 2.5, don't recall other settings, but they were those automatically set by the motherboard/BIOS.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 8, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 8, 2005 Please try these settings and then test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. But with a 333 FSB CPU you would need to run the memory at 1-1 or 100% in sync with your CPU.
