mberkland
Forum, I recently purchased 4 RAM modules online after seeing on your memory configurator that this RAM was compatible with my Dell PoweEdge 2850 server. After installing the 4 modules the machine will not boot and only emits beep codes. Nothing will display on screen. I beleive the beep order is 1-3-2 If I remove all 4 sticks and then just install 1 it will boot fine. However when I put the other sticks in it will not boot, nothing on screen either. The memory configurator said this was the correct memory for my system as did Newegg, has anyone had this issue before? Thanks, Matt Berkland
mberkland
Anyone have any ideas? I am afraid I am just going to have to return this memory and try another manufacturer. Matt
Wired
Try one stick at a time in each slot (mainly to test for bad slot). Also try 2 sticks at a time.
