shemmy
I recently purchased a 1G set of XMS. I currently run PC2700, but after a run down with a tech analyst I was told I could move up to PC3200 (400). I tried installing the cards and nothing, not even a system load. I imagine that I can't use PC3200 with that result, but I don't know. I have an Asus P4SD-LA motherboard, Intel P4 2.6Ghz, and a 3.0v power supply. Please let me know if I can use this speed of ram, or if not which I can. Thank you.
shemmy
OK, looked at another thread and apparently this motherboard just stinks. I have a hp a350y. In terms of speed would it be more worth it to by 2G of TWINX1024-3200 or to order a new mother board (reminder I have never attempted to change the MB before) that can work with the TWINX1024-3200XLPT? Wired
2 things: 1. OEM systems are only recommended to use Corsair System Select Memory. 2. The HP case won't take a standard motherboard, so if you do decide to get a new board, get a new case and A GOOD power supply as well.
