MCG818 Posted December 2, 2005 Share Posted December 2, 2005 I have 2 xms3200v1.5 running single channel 400mhz with a CAS 2.5 without a problem for months, no overclockin...ever, and the other timing settings are loose. Within the last week, mutiple window crashes, either in games or normal windows usage, aka "blue screen of death". Purchased a gig of 3200xl pro with the leds, havent had a problem with it since, the original ram in question, tried it on a NF4 SLI-DR motherboard, couldnt get it too clock over 333mhz and half the time on boot, the system would not even recognize the ram being onboard, and also when it would boot, it cause instability and numorous crashes. I have 2 sticks (v1.2) which i purchased prior on two different machines, same two boards which i was having problems with, and they work just fine. I have come to the conclusion that it has to be the xms3200v1.5 as I have eleminated all other factors. I am looking for an exact or equal replacement. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 2, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 2, 2005 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
