Sony VGC-RA840G 2GB (4X512MB VS512MB533D2)

I just bought these a few days ago. When I got them in, I got out the 1gb of memory that was in there already, PC2-4200 533MHZ DDR2 (2x512MB), and put in the 4 512's of Corsair. When I go to startup all I get is a black screen and continuous beeping. I'm lost. I don't know what could be going wrong. The only thing I could think is to try to restart the BIOS, but I want to see if there is something wrong to begin with before going through all that. Oh, btw, I got a bit annoyed and took out the corsair's and tried to start it up with the old memory again like before and now I get the same black screen and beeping. Please help me! ..not much of a computer know-it-all so could use as much detail as possible. Thanks.

I was able to get to the boot screen but then it comes up with a message that Windows was not able to start successfully due to a hardware change and gives me the different startup options (safe mode, normally, etc..). I've tried all of them and none seem to get me through. They all return me right to that page again. And I cleared the cmos, and when it started up the first time it showed that the computer recognized the 2GB of corsair 533MHz, then did the exact same thing with setup defaults. And how can I run memtest on the memory if I can't save it to a directory on my hard drive?

I kept fiddling with the memory until finally, EUREKA! I was able to boot all the way to my desktop with no problems. However, when I tried it with all 4 sticks I got a LEAD PAGE ERROR and was only able to boot it up with 3 sticks. Is there something I can do to be able to hook up the last one without compromising performance or something along those lines. I'm not much of a computer buff so any details will be greatly appreciated.
