RobC
Hello, i have 4x 512 in 2 matched pairs, one of the pairs appears to be faulty, i cannot run mem test as installing the modules prevents the machine from booting. One pair is fine, and the machine runs when i have them in alone. With the other pair in, the machine hangs on boot during POST as soon as the memory check starts. one of those sticks alone is fine, and the other appears to be the faulty one. should i return all 4 sticks, including the 3 good ones, or just the pair with the faulty stick? (could i get some packaging as well please?)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 29, 2005 Have you tested each stick one at a time? Does it appear that the suspected stick is the only one causing problems?
RobC
yes, i have tried all 4 individually, all are fine but 1 which prevents the machine from booting. the thing is that they are matched pairs, does this pose a potential problem for retuens?
