litsnsirn
I think I've developed a couple of bad sticks of VS1GB400C3. I've tried them in my ECS KT600A with a Sempron 3000+ processor, they are recognized but when I try memtest it posts 8k errors in the first 7% of the test, when I restore the original memory to this machine(also Corsair, but 512's), I receive no errors in memtest. I also try this in my Compaq D510 desktop(P4 2.0 Intel 845 chipset) and the memory is not recognized, either in pairs or singly, I understand that this might be due to bios, but the Compaq bios does not seem to be editable for settings changes, that I can tell. Any hints?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 29, 2005 Have you tried testing the Corsair modules alone in the system, one at a time? Most Compaq systems filter out the BIOS options that would allow you to make any changes.
