TZ Tripp
I have a gigabyte K8VT890-9 mobo and a pair of XMS dual channel 3200 512 sticks. My problem is that there is no options i can see to set my timing and voltage for the ram under my motherboards bios. I checked under all menu options more specifically frequency and voltage control. Unlike my old asus mobo this mobo has very little options in the bios. If you have any light to shed on this issue please share. Thanks!
TZ Tripp
Also as of late im having crash issues that im almost sure is related to this timing issue. Which is the reason i am posting!
Wired
Hit CTRL + F1 to get to advanced options in the BIOS.
TZ Tripp
well i just tried that and the screen flashed a little in response but no advanced options were unlocked. edit : i think voltage may be my problem along with this board not having access to any advanced timing options. the voltage option that i see is one that im not familiar with. the options are +.1 +.2 and +.3, i think the recommended voltage setting was 2.7 or 2.75 so is the standard voltage 2.5 and should i just bump it by .2 or .3? CMC_SAVAGE
If .3 is an option go with that. 2.8 should be more than enough.
