Blue Screens of Death

Recommended Posts

Sup RAM GUY, I just recently started experiencing blue screens of death while playing WoW. Ive been told that one or both sticks of my corsair twinx 1024-3200cpro might be bad. Ive tried to download and run memtest on them but I havent been able to get my comp to boot up lately. What should I do next???

What CPU / FSB / Motherboard do you have?

Test one stick at a time in each slot using Memtest86+ and the following settings:

CAS Latency (tCL): 2.0 for Intel / Athlon64, 2.5 for AthlonXP

RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3

Row Precharge (tRP): 3

Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6

Memory Voltage: 2.75 Volts

All other settings to defaults.

Im running an AMD athlon 64 3700+ on an Asus k8n e deluxe mobo. Ive tried running memtest on each individual stick of ram with the settings you gave me. One of the sticks ran and tested fine, while the other didn't boot up past the post. In fact, my monitor didn't come up so I couln't really tell what was going on. I tried running the same test on another system to see if it was just my comp, but I got the same results. Any other ideas???
