skirge01
I started getting random lockups and memory errors, so I ran Memtest86 on both my 512MB modules. Both showed errors in test #5. When this started, I had not changed anything in my BIOS, nor have I ever overclocked my CPU. What's my next step? Thanks.
skirge01
Well, I did some further digging and found some old RAM to test out in the same system. This RAM tests out fine in one computer, but fails in the one giving the Corsair memory errors. I tried slowing down the memory in the BIOS and that did nothing. To be clear, MEMTEST is reporting a TON of errors (pages, upon pages) on all the modules I've tested in the primary computer and zero in the alternate computer. Any ideas on whether this might be a CPU or mobo problem and how to check? Thanks!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 29, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 29, 2005 I would assume it is a motherboard issue. You should at least start there and contact your motherboard company and see if they can offer you any further help on this.
