Value select 1GB stick and Foxconn K8S755A-6ELRS

I have a Foxconn K8S755A-6ELRS motherboard. I recently bought a Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR 400 RAM (VS1GB400C3). When I install only this stick, the machine keeps rebooting during POST. This does not change when I install another memory module along with the Corsair. The box runs fine using other memory modules.

 

Is there a know compatibility problem with this board? Any help is appreciated.
