danieloh
When using MemTest86+, I am receiving errors during Test #5 for both modules. I have two matched CMX512-3200XL modules (TWINX1024-3200XL). Memory settings at 2-2-2-5 (all other at defaults) and test voltage at 2.75V. Tested at SPD settings of 2.5-3-3-6 and no errors occur during testing. Please advise.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 23, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 23, 2005 Please try the modules one at a time with the XL settings as follows: DRAM Voltage (also called DDR VOLTAGE): 2.75 -------------------- DRAM Clock: 200 MHz SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 2T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 5T SDRAM Bank Interleave: 4 Bank All other settings are motherboard defaults. After applying these settings, if the module still has errors when tested one-up please see the link in my signature, "I think I have a bad part..." and follow the directions listed on that page.. danieloh
Thanks for your help. I have tested them one at a time and only receive the errors during test #5 with one of the two modules. Since they are matched pairs, should I return both modules?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 19, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 19, 2005 Errors in test 5 would suggest some other problem, I would try the voltage at 2.8 Volts.
