dan_lpz
Hello RAM GUY (or anyone else), just wondering if the Corsair VS512SDS333 is compatible with a Toshiba Satellite a30 YS5. I tried to look it up on the tigerdirect.ca website under the configurator and it didnt mention it being compatible but there's been times in which I contact the ram manufacturer and I've been told otherwise. Toshiba tells me that i have a XXXXXXXXX 256mb PC2100 in it but I opened it up and surprice!!! Its a Samsung 256mb PC2700. So Toshiba was absolutely useless... So I dont know what to believe anymore since I assume that the configurator for tiger and corsair are based on the facts that toshiba provides for the ram configurator and Corsair's Website doesnt list any compatible products for their value select line. HELP!!! I need to speed up this computer and if this is not the product for me then Im open to suggestions!!! Thanks! Dan

dan_lpz
So I gather that the Value Select Brand of Corsair is a no go??? I saw that listing on the site before but i havent notice the selector mention any value brands at all. Thats why Im curious. I know it seems obvious to think it isnt, I just want a reassurance. (i know, kinda lame but im not too well educated on my RAM) Thanks!
Wired
It'll recommend VS on non-OEM systems. They MAY work, but definitely not with with OEM memory.
