KelleRinG
Hi guys ! First, just want to say that i'm sorry for my bad english !! I hope to be in the good section of the forum... My settings : XP Pro AMD XP 2600 Asus A7N8X Deluxe TWINX2048-3200 CMX512-3200C2PT 80 gig hard drive Asus GFX 5800 128 mb For like 2 years, i've been running with only 512 mb XMS and had no problems. Just bought dual channel TWINX2048-3200 and having problem now. I've run memtest86+ , doing all tests and no errors. Well, i had an error at a moment and i've restarted my computer. Restart memtest for a long time and no more error. Windows is unstable. Unable to run Firefox for 2 mins sometimes. Always the same message that an error happen and the program must close. Doing this for all the programs. So i've decide to run only my 2 gig in dual channel. Run memtest for over 34 hours and still no problem. But always the same problem in windows. Sometimes the blue screen of death appears. Sometimes, and errors is written. A number increase and say somtime like : Start of moving the memory to the hard disk. (this message is in french, so my translation is not perfect for sure ! ) I've updated my Bios and all the drivers. Still unstable. Just dont know what to do...:[pouts::[pouts: Thanks in advance ! DoM
KelleRinG
  I'm thinking about my Power Supply. I have only a 350 Watts. After doing some research on this, i think this could be the problem... I should use like a 400 watts to be able to run 2.5 gig of ram ? Perhaps i'm imagine things...:sigh!: Thanks ! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 23, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 23, 2005 I was going to suggest looking into the PSU. If you have a friend that can loan you a higher power unit to test I would try that and see if it solves the issue. The fact that memtest is passing would suggest that the memory is okay. KelleRinG
I was going to suggest looking into the PSU. If you have a friend that can loan you a higher power unit to test I would try that and see if it solves the issue. The fact that memtest is passing would suggest that the memory is okay. Finally, got an 450 Watts Power Supply. Result : Nothing better. Still very unstable. So i format everything and reinstall only basic programs. Doing all the driver update for windows and for my chipset and graphic card. Just no damn able to have something stable. Iexplore closing like every 5 minutes. Have also Blue screen of death. Had 2 times since a reinstall everything this error : PFN_LIST_CORRUPT Before i format everything, i've run Memtest for like 40 h. 20 pass for standard test and 10 pass for test 9 and 10. Running at 2.8 volts and optimal (probably auto detect) timings (3T-3-3-8) Just dont know what to do...:(: :(: Ram Guy, do you have some settings for me ?? Thanks in advance and damn for my bad english !! :D: Ciao !

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 13, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 13, 2005 KelleRinG When you changed PSU did you reset your MB bios? If not I would try that and then load setup/optimized defaults and then sett he voltage and timings manually and test them with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, you should have them in slots 2-3 as well.

Blue screen of death (IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL ; PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA) and unstable. I gonna try only with my 512 mb stick to see if it better. Thanks for you help RAM GUY !
