ezsoulja
Corsair VS1GB400C3 1GB DDR400 PC3200 CAS3 Value Select Memory GeIL GE5123200L 512MB PC3200 DDR400 Value Series Memory the above is what i bought and it seems that i took out pc2100 512 of the 1st slot and then inserted 1gb and 512 pc 3200 ddr 400 ram in both slots.. now the problem is seeing to occour that it detects the 2nd ram which has the 1gb ram then i swap places and now it detects the 512mb ram. it seems both ram work but the 1st slot dont want to detect the current ram there and it was working fine with the one pc2100 512mb ram.. Wired
It's never recommended to mix modules from different manufacturers. Try one stick at a time in each slot.

SFMªnti
sometimes if it wont detect memory like that u have to change something in your BOOT.INI. in msconfig for the mexmem setting sometimes that gets messed up:) just putting in my 2 cents:)

Garvin
Ditto Wired's post. Maxmem in Boot.in only applies to Windows and is best left to Windows to select the correct value, i.e. changing this value could foul up your Windows Operating System.
