WolfGang04
I purchased a 1mb (2-512mb package) a while back. But I think one of my sticks has gone bad. The stick that I think is bad once was lead ram. I have taken it out and put the second in first slot and tried putting the possibly bad in second and the OS will not load so now I just run with 512. Need advice on what to do.
Wired
Are you SURE it's Corsair? The part # listed in your profile isn't a Corsair part #. What's the exact part # / revision # of your module? How To Read the Memory Label
MCeatalot
OMG I've had this happened to me before. I used to have 2x512 XXXXXX Ballistix tracers PC4000. I was goin to RMA one of the sticks cuz it was faulty, BUT to my surprise, the part number on it was of a CORSAIR!!!???? I bought this from a third party. So what was I supposed to do, and how was I supposed to know that the freakin part number belonged to Corsair??? So as you guessed, I wasn't able to RMA it, and there goes my freakin $120 stick. If more of this crap keeps happening, I thin kthere's a conspiracy goin on. I think since Corsair and XXXXXX both offer lifetime, and are aware of people overclocking, they probably found a loophole inf their warranty that limits the customer's ability to RMA it. And this is that loophoel; they mix up the part number. Ain't that F**d up?
