anubus
Hi, I currently own a stick of CMX512-3200C2 and a stick of CMX512-3200C2PT. About a month ago, I started noticing random crashes of WinXP. Note that the system was running completely stable for the last 2 years. I ran Memtest86 on each of the sticks by themselves and found ~60 errors within 2 hours of running downclocked @166MHz on the CMX512-3200C2PT stick. Once taking out the CMX512-3200C2PT stick from the system, no more crashes in Windows were exhibited. So hopefully these test results is enough evidence that the CMX512-3200C2PT stick will need to be RMA'd. Do you agree? If so, may I also send back the working CMX512-3200C2 stick? I just want to get back 2 sticks that are from the same parts bin (equipped with the same manufacturer & type of ram chips and PCB) to avoid mixing different types of sticks. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks for your help, Ryan
