Null_
Hey there, Putting together a new SLI gaming rig and still trying to decide on what to do about memory. 2 GB's is the size but not sure about the rest. The mobos I've been looking at to go with an AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego are: ABIT Fatal1ty AN8-SLI ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Though I don't oveclock on my current machine, I may want to overclock a bit with this new machine. Being new to overclocking, what memory should I be looking at? So far, I've been looking at: Corsair Twinx2048-3200c2pt DDR400 (PC3200) CAS2 - 2-3-3-6 IT Corsair Twinx2048-4000PT DDR500 (PC4000) CAS 3 - 3-4-4-8-IT Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Wired
Could also look into TwinX2048-3500LL
Null_
Could also look into TwinX2048-3500LL Thanks for the tip, Wired. I've looked at those also. But unfortunately, these 3500LL modules are on backorder everywhere I have looked for them that has a decent price listed. I'm pretty sure that I'll be ordering new parts long before this ram is back in stock. As a matter of fact, I think that this Friday would be a great day to order new parts. Right now I'm leaning towards the Abit mobo, but since I haven't pressed the magic button yet, I still might flip a coin. And as far as the ram goes, of the two that I mentioned, I'm thinking maybe paper, scissors, rock to help make that decision.
megatron
I can recommend the Epox 9npaj sli, its comparable to the dfi in terms of overclocking with 3.2vdimm with latest bios. Mine is doing 300htt * 10 with a 146 opteron socket 939.
