El Loco
Hello, my parents have a PC with a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum and 512MB Corsair Value Select RAM which started to hang in the past few days. I started Memtest86 for about 8 hours and after 41 passes there were 11 fails (Timing is 2.5,3,3,8). I started it with a TwinMos RAM with the same timings and there were no errors and with this piece of RAM the PC also starts up. Has anyone any suggestion what to try next or is it for sure that this RAM is a bad part? Regards Lars
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 22, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 22, 2005 Please make sure that you have the latest bios for your MB and then load optimized defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings to "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them or it!
