BigShotGorilla
I have a 512 chip 3200c2 part number 0330258, and a 256 chip 3200c2 part number 0251042 both causing me problems. Both decide to stop working. I upgraded my mother board a couple of months ago don't think it has anything to do with it though, because it worked for months. If I put either module in by its self or in any other combination it doesn’t work. The asus voice comes on and says faulty system memory. I take it out and it boots as long as my good 512chip is in there (CMX512-3200c2pt). Pretty sure they need to be rma'd but it has been more then a year since I purchased them from newegg, so I am doing it here. I can't run memtest because I can’t get it to boot because of my asus board (a8n-sli Deluxe) just keeps telling me that there is faulty system memory. If you have any suggestions/fixes I am all ears. Thanks ~BSG~
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted November 18, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 18, 2005 I am sorry but with this MB both of the modules would need to be the same part# and revision or the system may not post.
BigShotGorilla
I am sorry to have wasted your time, but if I dumb downed the settings to 3-3-3-8, and only used the 512 chips, success! It was what you posted that brought my attention to the fix. Thanks, ~BSG~
