Lopeng
I've been having allot of trouble trying to install a 'new' computer consisting of different parts i had lying around. Most of the time i get a BSOD when installing Windows and the few times i succeeded in installing Windows stuff like the start menu didn't work etc. I've tried several hard drives and several cd-rom drives and finally decided to run Memtest86. After just 2 hours running it came up with over 18000 errors. I've been using the following components: MSI KT3 Ultra 2-c mainboard AMD Athlon xp 2200+ 1 strip of Corsair ValueSelect 512 MB PC2700 DDR 333 Memory
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 16, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 16, 2005 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
