shiphen
Hi I have just bought a 2GB Flash Voyager Memory Drive. 1. How do I reveserse the partitioning? - I hadn't realise that the "secure" disk partitiontook up a *lot* of memory space with the encryption. (i.e. about double what it would normally take up!!). So I now need to reset the disk to just one large partition - but the utility keeps crashing! And once it has crashed once you cant even get the utility to open again without re-booting the machine... Aaaaaargh! 2. Is there a new version of the software that comes with it? "Corsair Flash Voyager Utility". - I had a look at http://www.corsair.com but couldnt see ANY software to download. ANY SUGGESTIONS? PLEASE HELP! with thanks Ship Shiperton Henethe

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 16, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 16, 2005 Also you might check with the MB maker and see if you have the latest bios installed.
shiphen
Also you might check with the MB maker and see if you have the latest bios installed. I presume "MB" = MotherBoard, right? If so I can try I suppose, though I cant quite see why the motherboard would affect the USB2 port... Ship
shiphen
Uninstall / reinstall the software. Flash Software Thanks I'll try - though "Win98" does sound a little out of date. I am using Windows2000 (Pro)... With thanks Ship Shiperton Henethe
Wired
Win98 is just the name of the folder it's in, no worries, it's for all operating systems.
shiphen
I am using a utility I bought called "FolderMatch" (v3.4.0) to synchronise my data. It is moaning that my computer is NTFS whereas the Flash Memory is FAT, and that this creates anomalies (e.g. when clocks go back, e.g. file timestamps can go wrong by a couple of seconds). Is it possible to format my Flash Memory with NTFS?! And if so how is it done? Thanks Ship Shiperton Henethe
shiphen
Okay sorry that was a dumb question! I've worked out how to get Windows to do it. But I am still confused. Will any Windows2000 or WindowsXP be able to read my NTFS-formatted flash drive? Or for some reason is it only PCs that have at least one disk drive formated with NTFS?! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 26, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 26, 2005 Yes NTFS with Win2k can be seen in Win2K and WinXP And NTFS2 with WinXP can only be seen in WinXP.
