Memory problem with DFI Infinity nF4X

Recommended Posts

I cant get this board to run at any divider exept 1:1 when overclocking above 250HTT.Everytime I change it right after POST I get the NV RAID detecting array error and the lowest divider I cant boot at ALL

I tested with other RAM I got (Apacer 512MB DDR400) it works just fine.I get so frusterated,I have post this kind of thread at DFI street and their said the module have trouble with the mobo

What should I do? I dont want to change RAM since it overclock very nicely 268MHz at 2.8V

My RAM is 2x512MB Corsair XMS3200 TwinX 1024 Rev5.2 (Promos Rev A) 3,3,3,8 2.5V

My RAM PART NUMBER is CMX512-3200

VERSION NUMBER v5.2

LOT NUMBER is 0533010-2

And I installed 2 sticks of this RAM and also my other RAM (2x256MB)but all the dividers are working perfectly on this Apacer RAM and I can hit 350HTT with 133MHz(3:2) divider and 2.8V with 3,4,4,8 latency

I want to set it to diffrent divider other than 200MHz(1:1) but its not working if my HTT is above 250.The other besides 1:1 divider works above 250HTT is 133MHz(3:2) but strangely it wont go above 286HTT.I set everything in the BIOS at stock timing (3,3,3,8) and 2.8V to VDIMM and even tried 2T Command Rate, relaxed timing (3,5,5,10) increase voltage to 3.2V but still the same.I still get the Detecting Array problem right after POST

Please help me.....

Can you please list what you have set for the following in your BIOS:

CPU FSB

Memory FSB

Hyper Transport Multiplier

Memory Timings

Memory Voltage

Also, please check the following link and if you have not already, upgrade to the latest BIOS available for your motherboard:

http://www.dfi.com.tw/Support/Download/bios_download_us.jsp?PRODUCT_ID=3590&CATEGORY_TYPE=MB&STATUS_FLAG=A&SITE=US

Also, can you tell me how many modules you are currently running?

CPU FSB is 286HTT

Memory speed is 133MHz(3:2) divider

Hyper Transport multiplier is 3X (also tried 2X 4X and 1X but no effect)

Memory timing 3,3,3,8

Memory voltage 2.8V

The problem: I got detecting array right after POST

I looked for BIOS update almost every day IF they ever read my e-mail regarding this problem

I currently running 2 of these module because I bought it in twin matched pair
