smeesus
While playing a game I smelled a familiar smell, the smell that all techies know, the smell of burning electronics. Turned my pc off and after hours of trouble shooting, I found out that one of my sticks of ram has burnt out, a couple of the gold pins on the memory chip burned. I was wondering if that was an issue with the corsair XMS3200 512mb 400MHZ stick? Do they randomly burn up, or is it just my bad luck.

Isn't there a lifetime warrenty on Corsair ram?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 14, 2005 More than likely the DIMM slot this module was using is bad. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! Please install the replacement module on a different slot.
