NXIL
Hi, I have two Corsair modules that I have had for several years, ran rock solid--now system is unstable, power supply is good, temps and such all OK, modules fail MEMTEST x86--would like to RMA them please. Thanks, Jim
CandyKid
Did you try one module at a time? One module failing is almost definately the memory. If they both fail, then you might want to run more diagnostics as it may be something else. Either way, Corsair's got a lifetime warranty, so no worries. PLUR CK p.s. Your computer specs are... err... confusing. You've got pieces of at least 3 different computers listed!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 11, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 11, 2005 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. . NXIL
re: Computer specs....there are several systems in the house. Two boys. Homework, gaming, etc. And, I have computers at work too....must have entered info on various ones at various times. Only other Corsair mem problem I have had was a new 512M module for a laptop; RMA'd it, and replacement works great. I did do diagnostic tries, including new motherboard....no go.... Thanks for your help, Jim
