Abesapien1
I have a ASUS A8V Motherboard (not the deluxe). I installed two CMX1024-3200PRO. However, I had problems installing some programs (errors were reported as checksums). I took one stick out and was able to install the programs. I think there's a compatibility issue with the RAM and motherboard. What should I do? Never had to fix a RAM Problem before.
Wired
There's no compatibility issue. 1. Do you have a TwinX pack? If not, what's the lot # of each stick? test one stick at a time in each slot using Memtest86+ using the following timings: CAS Latency (tCL): 3 RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3 Row Precharge (tRP): 3 Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8 Memory Voltage: 2.75 Volts All other settings to defaults. Abesapien1
Not a TwinX Pack, bought at the same time. XMS3200v5.1 0538100-0 Ser. #0000193718 XMS3200v5.1 0538100-0 Ser. #0000193711 Ran memtest on first stick and after an hour, np. Running second stick now. Memtest has CAS at 3-3-3-8. However, I did not set this. I updated the bios to 213 a couple of weeks ago. However, i see they have a new version. I will be updating that later today. However, the bios version 213 is not set-up the same as the User Guide states and I dont see how to manually set the CAS at. Will wait to see what the new bios is like. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 11, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 11, 2005 In the bios under Jumper Free set AI Over Clock Tunner to Manual.
Abesapien1
OK, I have set the voltage to 2.7 (2.75 is not an option, 2.8 is). When I run Memtest86, it says the CAS is 3-3-3-8. However, am I suppose to manually set this in the bios? I cannot find a place in the bios that gives me these options. How can i get these options?
