2 bad memory sticks

Recommended Posts

I bought 4gb of XMS 3200 Platinum Series memory for my PC about 4 weeks ago. From the start it was acting like a ghost in the machine. All kinds of strange things going on and I took it to 2 different computer stores to find out what the problem was. Eventually Best Buy's Geek Squad told me I had 2 bad sticks of Ram. These ram modules would not allow my PC to post 90% of the time. I need to get an RMA I guess. Let me know what you need from me.

Thanks,

Frank

The sticks are both

CMX1024-3200PT

3.3

My ram settings and board settings are all on Auto. Not sure what exactly you wanted to know. My board has a lot of things that you can tweak, but I have not done any over clocking on this PC yet.

The board I have is Lanparty nF4 SLI-DR, and Like I said all the settings are default right now.

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
