Corsair CMX1024-4000PRO can't get dual channel

I am having a lot of problems with this.

I bought the CMX1024-4000PRO about a year ago, put it in an AGP Athlon XP motherboard, ran great in dual channel.

I recently upgraded to an AMD Athlon 64bit 3500+ Processor with a 7800 GTX, and I can't get it to run in dual channel. We've tried this on two boards, manually set timings, reset bios, everything.

I've done my homework and realized that it's not the chipset that runs the memory, it's actually the CPU that runs the memory. How can I get this awesome ram to run in dual channel!? I'm getting desperate!

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.

If they both run one up but not in dual channel that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another MB.

I ran the tests at 3-3-3-8 and 3-4-4-8 at 2.7 volts, both reported no problems.

Tried setting them up in dual channel, still getting post errors.

I think the problem might be my AMD Athlon 64bit Processor, because I heard that on the 939 processors the memory controller is on the CPU. It would explain that it didn't work in either one of my boards of 939, but would work on Athlon AGP boards.

Any ideas?

on your motherboard, put them in the correct 2 dimms which are rated for dual channel configuration, you will have to check your mother board manual, then go into the bios, and set the command rate to 1T , this mite help your problem, (you dont manually set them to "dual channel" your self)

If the module will run and pass http://www.memtest.org one at a time or in single channel but the MB will not post or run properly when in D/C, that would suggest a problem with the memory controller, either the Bios you have installed is not new enough for the CPY you have or the CPU needs to be replaced.
