amaciuszonek
Setup: RAM <- A7N8X Deluxe <- latest BIOS 1008 Graphics Card <- Radeon 9500 Pro BIOS settings <- default (auto) OS <- windows xp pro. Symptoms: Computer has been running fine since new. Now there are random hangs on bootup. Random file corruptions and reboots. memtestx86 results: 1) tested the original setup with dual channel mode (128 bits). Channel one fails. (one of the sticks) 2) Tested stick 1 in the first ddr slot. Single channel mode (64 bits). Memtest fails. 3) Tested stick 2 in the first ddr slot. Single channel mode (64 bits). Memtest passes. Other troubleshooting: 1) double checked the BIOS settings for the RAM timing and voltage. Defaults are OK. and match the memory type. Please advise on RMA.. Thank you Kindly Artur M. Wired
Are you running the memory @ 133 Mhz (in sync with the FSB), or @ 166 Mhz (async with the FSB)?
