johnwc723 Posted November 6, 2005 Share Posted November 6, 2005 Hi I have a bad 1 bad VS256MB400C3 module from a 2 x 256 = 512MB matched pair. I know its bad because i get an error in memtestx86 on the single module alone in my motherboard at location 112.0MB everytime i run the test. I have tried other memory in my computer and i get no such problem from memtest. Should i send both sticks back as they are a matched pair? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 7, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 7, 2005 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and send both modules back to us, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
