Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 5, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 5, 2005 Yes but I would not suggest it. One Twinx2048-3200 set of modules would be more than enough.
RJLeong65
would 2 sets of (TWINX2048-3200C2PRO) work on my MOBO or whats the best setting ? thanks P4 3.4E 800fsb Asus P4P800 E Deluxe I, like the RAM GUY, do not recommend the use of two sets of TWINX modules to fill all four memory slots on your motherboard, especially if those modules are double-sided like all 1GB modules. You see, when you fill all four slots with double-sided memory, the memory clockspeed will be downclocked to 166MHz (DDR333) by default - and will likely not run stable at 200MHz (DDR400). Furthermore, Windows XP reserves the upper memory registers for the PCI bus if you install 4GB of memory. Thus, you will have much less than 4GB available to Windows XP (32-bit) and its apps.
