haloeighty8
I really am getting frustrated here. I had ordered this set from newegg.com last week. And upon inspection the first thing I noticed is that this is ver 1.2, I wanted version 1.1. nevertheless, when I mix the 1.2's with the 1.1's my system will reboot or just shutdown. Now, I thought I had a bad module so I sent them back to newegg for a replacement and low and behold then send me back ver 1.2 again.. and on top of that. The LED's on one of the modules seem to be stuck in the red. They do not flicker in unison like they used to. So I'm stuck here deciding whether or not to just ask newegg for a refund or do you think you guys can help me get this situated in a timely fashion. I want all 2 gigs of ram to work!!! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 4, 2005 Rev 1.1 is no longer available and there is no difference in the memory just the PCB was chnaged. Please make sure that you set the memory voltage to 2.8 Volts and set the timings manually to the tested settings and test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org
haloeighty8
Well that's good to know there is no difference, however.. done and done.. as far as putting them to 2.8. In fact when I do that it just shuts my system off. I dont know what else to try here.. I mean there defintely is something wrong though as the LEDs' dont work right on one of them. haloeighty8
BTW, when I run memtest with my sticks.. the 1.1, my system is rock solid all night. When I add the 1.2, my system shuts down. Now know that I've even upgraded power supplies suspecting that could be the culprit. And nope.. same deal.
Wired
Try 2.5-3-3-6 @ 333 Mhz for 4 sticks.
haloeighty8
Well I'll have to try that when I get them back.. one of them has stuck LED's, so I'm going to go ahead and get them replaced anyways.

haloeighty8
Well I want to thank you guys for the help but I went ahead and opted to return them to newegg and get a refund. I think I will go with the 2x 1gig sticks so I dont have to run them at 333, running 4x512 at 333 is just not a viable solution to me.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 5, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 5, 2005 I would agree with you, 2 1.0 gig modules would be best!
