mwitthoft
Have matched set of 2- 512 sticks of corsair twinx pc3200 ddr xms i think...anyway was having blue screens, and memdumps randomly. pulled 1 stick and no more problems...as this is a matched set the stick we figured was bad has been waiting to be sent back til we had the spare time to be without any memory. Today we ran memtest on the stick we have been using and it passed fine. then we removed it and put the the suspect stick and ran memtest. at 32% it popped up an error one of 18 and said ram is bad to replace. we did print out the error message, and can email it to you if you wish. What we are wondering is if we could have and pay for another twin set to be shipped to us before we send this set back, then you can credit us back once you confirm that the stick is bad. Please let me know...we have done this before with bad hard drives. and are using this computer every day and are hard pressed to be without it for the time needed to send this matched set back and forth. Please authorize rma for the return. thank you marcia
Wired
You'll have to call their cust service dept to see if they can do that. 1-888-222-4346 They don't open for another 10 min though.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 3, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 3, 2005 We do not sell direct so that type of transaction is hard for us to do, but as Wired said please contact our customer service and ask if there is anything they can do! mwitthoft
ram guy thanks for your reply...I called per your instructions and they do offer advance replacement if you ask about its availability...they took my credit card and overnited me the replacement memory and I got it this morning. Now I just send back the 2 matched modules and they will not charge my card.
