mrnaturl
My 2GB USB flash drive will not format (it shows as unformatted). And when plugged in it will sometimes show up as 1GB and sometimes 2GB Same problem. Windows states 1GB drive is write protected and format will not complete.:sigh!:

bdedi
I have the same problem with my 2.0 GB flash device. I had partitioned it out into two seperate volumes and it was working fine for about 3 months. Then out of the blue it would only work with some systems. Now, none of the systems I try it on. The other weird thing that started happening was on my system at work, it started showing up as a USB2.0 device on a USB 1.1 port. All the ports on the system at work are USB 2.0. I have other USB 2.0 devices that all work fine.
