stephen.welstea
I purchased a set of Corsair memory modules. I purchased a pack of two memory modules both of which are 512mb. However one of the modules is bad. I understand I have to post in this forum first before sending off for a replacement. What are my next steps ? Wired
1. How do you know it's bad? What troubleshooting steps have you taken? 2. Your profile shows 1.5 GB. Are you running them w/ a 3rd stick? If so, what is it?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 2, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 2, 2005 Can you tell me our modules part# (How To Read the Memory Label) and the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
stephen.welstea
Hi the modules part no. is 783-0537049-0-341502. Not quite sure of the exact make of the other memory I have. I know it is Samsung branded. I have two modules of that brand and the one working module of the Corsair Value Select. Obviously the memory is compatible with my computer seeing as how one of the modules is working fine. Not quite sure what bios settings I have but I'm not an overclocker so they should all still be default settings.
